Carson Skipper throws a pitch vs. Presbyterian Opening Weekend

GREENVILLE, N.C. – Junior left-hander Carson Skipper has been named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Stopper of the Year Award watch list.
 
It marks the fourth straight season an Auburn pitcher has been named to the watch list – Calvin Coker (2018), Cody Greenhill (2019, 2020).
 
Skipper made his season debut and pitched a scoreless inning with a strikeout in Auburn's series-clinching win against Presbyterian last Saturday.
 
Dating back to last season, the Trussville, Alabama, native has turned in a 0.90 ERA in eight appearances and 10.0 innings. He has allowed six hits and issued three walks with 13 strikeouts during the span.
 
Skipper has made 25 appearances, including eight starts, in his Auburn career. He has posted a 3-3 record and turned in a pair of saves.
