Huff guides Auburn in first round of LSU Invitational

BATON ROUGE, La. – Graysen Huff is in a tie for 16th to guide the No. 13 Auburn men's golf team after the first round of the LSU Invitational Friday. Huff shot a 2-over 74 in his first circuit of the par-72 University Club.

The Tigers sit in ninth after the opening 18 holes at 15-over.

Three Auburn golfers fired an eagle in C.J. Easley, Wells Padgett and Jovan Rebula.

Easley, who is tied for 27th overall at 3-over (75), carded an eagle on the par-4, 460-yard 14th hole, while Padgett and Rebula each eagled the par-5, 557-yard 11th hole.

Padgett, along with J.M. Butler, is tied for 37th at 4-over (76). Rebula is tied for 51st at 5-over (77).

Andrew Kozan rounded out the lineup and is tied for 78th at 8-over (80).

Illinois leads the 15-team field at 5-over (293), followed by Georgia (294), Tennessee (294), Vanderbilt (295) and Arkansas State (295).

The Tigers are paired with Florida and Ole Miss for the second round Saturday, beginning at 8:30 a.m. CT off the No. 1 tee box. Live scoring is available at Golfstat.com.
