Tigers rise up leaderboard on final day of LSU Invitational

BATON ROUGE, La. – After starting the day in 11th, the No. 13 Auburn men's golf team rose five spots on the leaderboard to finish fifth after the final round of the LSU Invitational Sunday afternoon.

The Tigers tied South Carolina for the second-lowest round of the day with a 5-over 293 to finish at 27-over (303-295-293--891) at the par-72 University Club. Auburn finished just two strokes behind Florida (889) and four behind Arkansas State (887) to crack into the top four spots.

Graysen Huff led the way and finished in a tie for seventh overall at 3-over (74-72-73--219) marking his second top-10 finish of the season as he tied for sixth at the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate.

The senior had three birdies and 12 pars in his final circuit.

Andrew Kozan posted a team-best 1-under 72 on his final card of the weekend, including a team-high five birdies to finish in a tie for 24th at 7-over (80-72-71--223).

Competing as an individual, C.J. Easley tied for 33rd overall at 8-over (75-69-80--224).

Jovan Rebula and Wells Padgett tied for 43rd and 49th, respectively. Rebula finished at 10-over (77-76-73--226), while Padgett was one stroke back at 11-over (76-75-76--227). The duo each had 13 pars to guide Auburn on Sunday.

J.M. Butler completed the lineup for the Tigers and finished in a tie for 65th at 15-over (76-77-78--231).

Illinois won the tournament at 12-over (876), followed by Vanderbilt (878) and South Carolina (881).

Auburn returns to action March 15-17 when it hosts the annual Tiger Invitational at Grand National in Opelika, Ala.
