COLUMBIA, S.C. – For the Auburn women's golf team, the strong play over the last two rounds of the Moon Golf Invitational carried over to Monday's first round at the Gamecock Intercollegiate where the Tigers finished 1-under (287) as a team and are currently tied for third with Mississippi State and South Carolina.

Auburn has now shot under par in each of the last three rounds this spring.

"A solid start for the Tigers," Auburn head coach Melissa Luellen said. "We are leading the field in pars and respectable in the birdie category. The first three holes we had a strong storm hit us, but we were prepared and powered through. We played the final five holes under par as a group, which is always a focus. We're already looking forward to round two."
