ATLANTA – Auburn men's basketball signee Jabari Smith has been chosen as a Naismith First Team All-American, the Atlanta Tipoff Club announced. Smith, a consensus top-5 player is one of just five players in the country selected to the first team.

Smith is averaging 23.4 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 2.5 blocks and 1.6 steals per game while playing at Sandy Creek High School. He also is shooting 56 percent from the floor, including 41 percent from 3, and 74 percent from the foul line.

The Tyrone, Ga. native has led his team to a 28-4 record, which includes a 21-game winning streak, and a spot in the state title game.

Smith recently became Auburn's fourth signee to be named a McDonald's All-American - a list that includes Sharife Cooper (2020), Korvotney Barber (2005) and Frank Ford (1983) - and is a finalist for the Naismith High School Trophy Boys Player of the Year.
