AUBURN, Ala. – Trailing by a run, Auburn softball (16-3, 0-2 SEC) came from behind to tie the game in the fourth, but Alabama (21-2, 2-0) rallied late to take game two of the series, 4-1, Saturday evening at Jane B. Moore Field.
 
Alabama scored three unanswered runs in the sixth and seventh innings aided by a pair of Auburn errors.  
 
"Every game you play important," said head coach Mickey Dean. "Any games you let go by now, you'll have to make up for later in the SEC standings."
 
Auburn's offense was held to three singles. Makayla Packer reached base twice with a pair of walks and scored the lone run for the Tigers.
 
Trailing by a run in the bottom of the fourth, Packer drew a one-out walk. After advancing to second on a grounder to third, Packer swiped third base and was able to score off an Alabama error on the play at the bag.
 
Alabama added a run in the top of the sixth with an RBI single to center and plated an unearned run off an Auburn error in the outfield. Elissa Brown led off the seventh, reaching on an error. She would come around to score a second unearned run for the Tide.
 
Shelby Lowe tossed 5.1 innings, holding the Tide hitless through three. Lowe allowed three runs off four hits. She issues a pair of walks and struck out three. One of the three runs she allowed was unearned. She fell to 6-1 on her freshman season.
 
KK Dismukes tossed 1.2 innings of relief for Auburn. She struck out a pair, allowed one hit and issued a walk. Dismukes was tagged with one unearned run.
 
Kaylee Tow led Alabama at the plate with a 2-for-3 night with two RBI. Montana Fouts earned the win in the circle with her complete-game performance.
