AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn (6-5-3) begins it final stretch of the spring season with a matchup at Louisville (5-5-0) Saturday at 4 p.m. CT.
The game will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra.
STARTING XI
Auburn has allowed just one goal through four matches this spring.
The Tigers lead the SEC in shutouts (six) and goals against average (0.86), a mark that would rank third in program history if the season ended today.
The goal allowed in the 84th minute at Clemson snapped a streak of 351:51 scoreless minutes dating back to the SEC Tournament contest vs. Arkansas.
Freshmen Olivia Candelino and Maddie Prohaska were named the SEC Freshman and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively, for their performance vs. Georgia.
Candelino scored her team best second goal of the spring while Prohaska turned in her sixth shutout of the season, including her fifth solo clean sheet, in the 1-0 win.
Prohaska continues to lead the SEC in save percentage (.838) and is tied for the league lead in solo shutouts (five). She also ranks tied for second in goals against average (0.89), which would rank fourth in program history if the season ended today.
Auburn has started six or more freshman in each of the first four contests of the spring.
Seventeen of the team's 20 points through four matches this spring have come from true or redshirt freshmen.
Head coach Karen Hoppa won her 250th game at Auburn last Saturday vs. Georgia.
Hoppa is one of 20 active NCAA women's soccer Division I head coaches with 300 or more career wins, including 250 or more wins at the helm of his or her current program.
Saturday's contest marks the first meeting between Auburn and Louisville.
SCOUTING LOUISVILLE
Louisville enters the weekend with a 5-5-0 overall record, including a 4-4-0 mark in ACC play.
The Cardinals are coming off a 1-0 win in the team's spring opener at Dayton two weeks ago.
Senior midfielder Emina Ekic has accounted for seven of Louisville's 12 goals and 17 of the team's 32 points this season.
Senior goalkeeper Gabby Kouzelos has been in net every minute this season and has posted a 1.10 goals against average with a pair of shutouts.
