AUBURN, Ala. – Senior Deanna Green of the No. 1 Auburn equestrian team was named the National Collegiate Equestrian Association's (NCEA) Horsemanship Rider of the Month for her performances in February, the organization announced Wednesday.

The honor is the first of the season for Green and the second of her career.

The Ocala, Fla., product put together two big rides in February for the Tigers, helping the squad continue its undefeated streak as Auburn bested a pair of Southeastern Conference opponents.

Green kicked of February with a big win on the road at then-No. 5 Texas A&M (Feb. 13). She bested her opponent by six points, 78-72, and was awarded MOP honors in the event. Her MOP pushed her to 13 Horsemanship awards in her career, placing her first in program history in the category.

She capped the month with another 78 against an SEC opponent. Her 78-70 win over No. 3 Georgia (Feb. 27) marked her second-highest margin of victory of the season.

With her help, the Horsemanship corps put together an 8-2-0 mark vs. the pair of SEC foes.
