COLUMBIA, S.C. – With inclement weather expected, the Auburn women's golf team played 27 holes on Tuesday, wrapping up the second round and getting midway through the third and final round at the Gamecock Intercollegiate.

When play was suspended, the Tigers found themselves in fourth place at 11-over par. They finished the second round in third after shooting 291 (+3) as a team.

Senior Mychael O'Berry started the day with two birdies on her first four holes and carried that momentum through the rest of round, shooting a 69 (-3) with five total birdies. Following the end of the second round, she was tied for third on the player leaderboard at 4-under.

For O'Berry, it was her seventh straight round at par or better and her fifth round in the red this season. She had four rounds below par all of last season.

"Mychael has had a great mindset this week as she expects good shots and is unflappable toward the poor shots or bad breaks," Auburn head coach Melissa Luellen said. "I just love the girl's competitiveness and composure. She has emerged as a leader on this team."

Fellow senior Kaleigh Telfer was tied for ninth individually through two rounds as she followed a 70 (-2) from Monday with a 1-over 73 in the second round. She made three birdies, giving her seven total birdies heading into the final round.

Sophomore Megan Schofill and junior Brooke Sansom were in 26th and 36th following round two. Schofill shot a 75 (+3) on the first 18 holes of the day while Sansom carded another 74 (+2), matching her score from the first round. Sansom closed the round strong with two birdies on the last three holes.

At the conclusion of the second round, South Carolina held the team lead at 4-under (572), followed by Duke (573), Auburn (578), Wake Forest (580), LSU (581), Georgia (589), Mississippi State (590), Vanderbilt (591), North Carolina (591), Ole Miss (593), Arkansas (593), Alabama (593), Baylor (595), Kentucky (595), Furman (601), Tennessee (601), Florida (608) and Texas A&M (609).
