AUBURN, Ala.—The Auburn track and field team will compete in the two-day Florida Relays at James G. Pressly Stadium, Percy Beard Track on the University of Florida campus, Friday and Saturday.
The meet will feature 13 programs including Auburn, Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Iowa State, Kentucky, Miami (Fla), Mississippi State, South Carolina, Southern California and Virginia Tech.
"This weekend I want to see some progression, but I want to see some national level marks. We're going to line up some key people in some really good events," Auburn head coach Ralph Spry said. "Our home meet two weeks ago we had a very competitive field in terms of teams and this week it will be the top meet in the country and most competitive in terms of Power Five teams."
A total of five men's and seven women's teams competing are currently ranked in the USTFCCCA Top 25 poll, including the Auburn men at No. 22.
Auburn enters the meet with four athletes ranked in the top ten nationally. On the women's side, senior Kylee Carter is fourth in the javelin throw, while men's top ten athletes include Dontavious Hill (second, high jump), Dante Brown (third, 60m) and Nils Fischer (seventh, javelin throw).
Friday's events will begin at 2 p.m. ET with the women's discus throw. Running events will begin at 5 p.m. ET with the women's 1500m.
