AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn baseball announced the addition of junior college infielder Mason Land to its 2021 signing class.
Land is a native of Cantonment, Florida, and is currently in his first season at Chattahoochee Valley Community College.
"What stood out the most to me about Auburn was that it was exactly what I was looking for," Land said. "Auburn is a beautiful campus with a well-known baseball program. I was looking to get back into the SEC after being in junior college for a year, and Auburn is the perfect fit.
"I'm extremely excited to get on campus and learn and develop under the coaching staff," Land added. "I feel like different programs teach baseball in different ways, and I'm excited to learn more about the game from different perspectives."

Land has turned in a .353 average in 43 games at Chattahoochee Valley this season. He leads the Pirates with 44 runs scored and ranks second in hits (49), home runs (five) and RBI (35). Land has struck out just 10 times this season and has drawn a team-high 24 walks, good for a .477 on-base percentage.
Land originally signed with Mississippi State out of Tate High School and appeared in three games with one start as a freshman with the Bulldogs.
Land was a four-year letterwinner at Tate High School and helped lead the Aggies to three straight Class 7A District 1 titles between his freshman and junior seasons. He was named first-team all-state his final three prep seasons and garnered second-team Perfect Game All-America honors as a junior and senior. Land earned a 4.40 GPA during his high school career and received the Scholar Athlete of the Year Award.
