AUBURN, Ala. – April is here, which means the postseason is just around the corner for the Auburn women's golf team. But first, the Tigers will wrap up the regular season this week at the LSU Tiger Golf Classic in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

The tournament, played at The University Club (Par 72, 6,350 yards), begins with 36 holes Tuesday and will wrap up with the final 18 holes on Wednesday. The field will once again have an SEC feel with 12 SEC teams playing, and with the addition of No. 5 Florida State, there will be five teams ranked in the top 10 and nine teams ranked in the 30.

"It's kind of like our football season this year, playing an all-SEC schedule and kind of beating each other up," Auburn head coach Melissa Luellen said. "Your win-loss record might not be as great as when you're playing some other tournaments that have different fields."

With four top-five finishes on the season, Auburn comes into the week ranked No. 9 nationally.

It will be a short turnaround for Kaleigh Telfer and Megan Schofill, the No. 1 and No. 2 players in Auburn's lineup this week. Both golfers competed at the Augusta National Women's Amateur last week, along with teammate Julie McCarthy. Telfer, who made the cut following the first two rounds, played the third round Saturday. She finished tied for 22nd overall.

Following Telfer and Schofill in the lineup this week will be senior Mychael O'Berry and freshman Anna Foster. All four players are all currently ranked in the top 100 nationally for individuals.

Fifth-year senior Elena Hualde Zuniga will be playing out of the fifth spot for the Tigers. She finished tied for 44th in her 2020-21 season debut last month at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic.

There will be a shotgun start Tuesday with all 14 teams teeing off at 8:30 a.m. CT. Auburn will be paired with Arkansas and Georgia for the first 36 holes. Live scoring can be found on Golfstat.com
