Kozan guides Tigers at first round of The Collegiate Invitational

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Andrew Kozan is tied for fourth overall on the individual leaderboard after the first round of The Collegiate Invitational at the Country Club of Birmingham Monday. The senior is part of a seven-way tie for fourth at 1-under (70).

Kozan had a team-best four birdies on the day at the par-71 course split evenly across the front and back nine.

As a team, No. 9 Auburn is tied for sixth with Charlotte and Ole Miss at 5-over (289). No. 22 North Florida leads the field at 1-under (283).

Alex Vogelsong is tied for 21st at 1-over (72). The sophomore racked up 13 pars total and a pair of birdies on the back nine to conclude his first circuit.

Graysen Huff is just one shot back of Vogelsong at 2-over (73) and tied for a team-best with 14 pars.

J.M. Butler and C.J. Easley are part of a 17-player crowd that is tied for 38th at 3-over (74). The duo combined for four birdies and 24 pars on the day.

Wells Padgett and Jovan Rebula rounded out the lineup Monday. Padgett is in a tie for 55th at 4-over (75), while Rebula is tied for 63rd at 5-over (76).

The Tigers are paired with Arkansas and Vanderbilt for the second round Tuesday, beginning at 8:20 a.m. CT off the No. 1 tee box. Live scoring is available at Golfstat.com.
