Auburn wraps up play at The Collegiate Invitational at the Country Club of Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Auburn men's golf team finished fifth at 19-over (289-295-287--871) following the final round of The Collegiate Invitational at the Country Club of Birmingham Wednesday.

The Tigers were led by four top-25 finishers on the individual leaderboard, highlighted by a sixth-place finish by Alex Vogelsong at 1-over (72-72-70--214).

The sophomore tied for a team-best four birdies, split evenly across the front and back nine, and added 11 pars to his final tour of the par-71 course. Vogelsong shot par or better on his final 11 holes of the afternoon en route to his fourth top-25 finish of the season, including his third straight.

Andrew Kozan tied for 11th just one shot behind Vogelsong at 2-over (70-72-73--215). The senior had a trio of birdies in his final circuit and chipped in with 10 pars.

C.J. Easley and Graysen Huff also finished inside the top 25 at 20th and 25th, respectively. Easley had four birdies on the day, including three in his final 11 holes, to finish at 4-over (74-72-71--217). Huff also added four birdies on the day and capped his week at 6-over (73-76-70--219).

J.M. Butler and Wells Padgett were part of a five-way tie for 50th at 11-over. Butler (74-75-75--224) had a team-high 15 pars on his final card of the week, while Padgett (75-74-75--224) had a birdie and 12 pars in his final tour.

Rounding out the lineup, Jovan Rebula finished in a tie for 60th at 13-over (76-76-74--226). The senior shook off a 5-over front nine to begin the round and went 2-under on the back nine that included three birdies from the 11th to the 15th holes.

Clemson won the team title at 2-over (854), followed by Tennessee (860) and North Florida (863).

The Tigers will now shift their focus to the postseason as they take aim at the Southeastern Conference Championship, April 21-25.
