Tigers set to take on Samford at Hoover Met

AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn is set to take on Samford at Hoover Met Stadium Tuesday at 6 p.m. CT in Hoover, Alabama.
 
The game will be broadcast on the Auburn Sports Network.

 QUICK HITTERS 
Auburn is coming off a walk-off win in the series finale vs. LSU Saturday.
 
Brody Moore delivered the RBI single in the ninth, marking the third walk-off win this season.
 
The Tigers held LSU to a season-low two hits in the finale.
 
Auburn matched a season-high with four home runs in the middle game against LSU and totaled seven homers in the series, marking the most homers in a series since also homering seven times vs. Northeastern in 2018.
 
The Tigers rank second in the SEC and sixth in the NCAA with 69 home runs this season.
 
Ryan Bliss has multiple hits in five straight games and is 12-for-24 with six runs, six doubles, two homers and six RBI during the span.
 
Bliss leads the SEC with 24 multi-hit games this season, three more than any other player.
 
Tyler Miller leads the SEC and ranks 10th in the country with 53 RBI, tied for the fourth most by an Auburn player since 2011.
 
Steven Williams needs one more home run to enter the top 10 in program history.
 
Williams' 34 career home runs are the most by an Auburn player since Kevin Patterson (2008-11).
 SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS 
Samford enters the week with a 27-19 overall record and 17-7 mark in Southern Conference play.
 
The bulldogs are coming off a three-game sweep vs. VMI.
 
Offensively, Samford is hitting .277 as a team, led by Tyler McManus' .336 clip. McManus is tied for second on the team with nine home runs and leads the way with 41 RBI.
 
On the mound, the Bulldogs have turned in a 6.12 ERA. Senior lefty Hamp Skinner will make his first start of the season Tuesday.
