KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Auburn soccer players Anna Haddock, Alyssa Malonson and Sarah Houchin were named United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region honorees.

Haddock earned first-team honors, Malonson was named to the second team and Houchin was tabbed third team. Auburn's three honorees are the most since 2017 and tied for the third most in program history.

"We are excited to see three players named to the all-region teams," head coach Karen Hoppa said. "Anna, Alyssa and Sarah all played key roles on both sides of the ball to our success this year, so we are glad to have their contributions recognized by the United Soccer Coaches."

Haddock finished her first season on The Plains as the SEC and Power 5 Conference leader with 10 assists, marking the most among freshmen nationally and the second most by an Auburn freshman since 2000. She matched the single-game program record with four assists against Kennesaw State to kick off the spring season on Feb. 19 and assisted in three straight contests to end the season.

Malonson, who served primarily as a defender in her first three seasons in an Auburn uniform, played in the midfield in 2020-21 and contributed on both sides of the field. The Houston, Texas, native ranked tied for second on the team with four assists and added a goal for a total of six points on the year. Malonson has started in all 77 matches since stepping foot on campus in 2017 and leads Auburn players with 19 career assists. She was selected by the NC Courage in the second round of the NWSL Draft.

Houchin was named Auburn's Most Valuable Defensive Player for the second straight season, leading a defensive unit that surrendered a record-matching 15 goals all season, including three in eight spring matches. Houchin not only played a vital role in turning in the league's second-best goals against average, but also contributed on the offensive end, scoring a pair of goals and adding a pair of assists. Like Malonson, she finished her Auburn career by starting in all 77 games since stepping foot on campus in 2017.

All three All-Region honorees were also tabbed All-SEC in the fall. Haddock was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team and Malonson and Houchin earned Second Team All-SEC honors.

All-Region honorees were selected through voting by member coaches in their respective regions. All-America teams will be announced Thursday, May 13.
