STILLWATER, Okla. – The No. 15 Auburn men's golf team's season came to a close Tuesday as the Tigers finished in a tie for sixth following the final round of the NCAA Stillwater Regional.
Auburn finished at 16-over (287-294-299--880) after three rounds at Karsten Creek Golf Club and missed the cut by one stroke.
On the final hole of the week, the Tigers were two strokes behind Baylor, who was in fifth at the time, and needed an eagle to stay alive. Down to the final golfer, Alex Vogelsong delivered with an eagle on the 575-yard, par-5 18th hole.
However, Little Rock had all five golfers birdie the final hole to leap both Auburn and Baylor and secure the fifth and final spot to advance to the NCAA Championship.
Andrew Kozan and Vogelsong finished in a tie for 21st at 4-over. Kozan (70-75-75--220) had three birdies on his final card, while Vogelsong (74-72-74--220) had 13 pars and an eagle.
Graysen Huff ended his week in a tie for 30th at 6-over (74-74-74--222). The senior ended the round with birdies on two of his final four holes.
J.M. Butler had a team-best 14 pars in his last tour of the course and finished in a tie for 39th at 10-over (77-73-76--226).
Jovan Rebula rounded out the lineup and tied for 50th at 13-over (69-82-78--229).
