AUBURN, Ala. – Four members of the Auburn women's golf team were honored by the Southeastern Conference as the league office announced postseason awards Friday.

Sophomore Megan Schofill and senior Mychael O'Berry were voted Second Team All-SEC, while Anna Foster and Elina Sinz were placed on the SEC All-Freshman team.

"The SEC is the strongest from top to bottom in women's golf," head coach Melissa Luellen said. "Our team is very deep in talent and to have four members selected for conference honors is terrific. All of these players are returning next year so our future looks bright!"

The league honor is the second for Schofill after being placed on the first team last season. The Monticello, Fla. product leads the Tigers with a 72.11 stroke average and has finished in the top 20 in three of six tournaments competed this year.

In November, Schofill came in tied for first at the Liz Murphey Fall Collegiate against a field that was comprised of all SEC schools. She has a team-best 12 rounds of par or better on the year.

Schofill and O'Berry are tied for first on the team with seven rounds under par this season.

The conference recognition is the first for O'Berry, who has put together one of the best seasons in her career. The Hoover, Ala. native has a 73.38 stroke average and leads the squad with five finishes in the top 20. In addition, O'Berry has 10 rounds of par or better and reached a career-low 66 on the second day of the 2021 SEC Championship.

The SEC All-Freshman team selection for Foster and Sinz marked the fifth straight year Auburn has had a player make the team. Schofill (2020), Brook Sansom (2019), Kaleigh Telfer (2018) and Elena Hualde Zúñiga (2017) all earned newcomer recognition.

Sinz logged three top-15 finishes in four tournaments played, including a sixth-place finish at The Ally at Old Waverly in October. The Katy, Texas product was named the SEC Freshman of the Week in February and has a 72.92 stroke average on the season.

Foster, of Dublin, Ireland, has five tournaments under her belt this season with one top 10 finish. The newcomer was named SEC Freshman of the Week following her finish at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic in March where she came in tied for seventh.

The SEC also announced the 2021 Community Service team and junior Chandler Rosholt was recognized for her efforts away from the course.
