EUGENE, Ore.—Auburn seniors Malik Metivier and Eric Brown finished their Auburn careers with lifetime best performances while earning first team All-America honors on Friday during the third day of the NCAA Outdoor Championships at Hayward Field on the University of Oregon campus.

Metivier ran a strong race and finished strong down the homestretch to cross in 49.26, good for fifth place, the best finish at NCAAs in the event by an Auburn Tiger since Rueben McCoy's silver medal in 2008. It concluded an outdoor season that saw the Toronto, Canada native run four sub-50 second times in the event, including Friday's performance and a bronze medal at SECs in May.

A product of Milwaukee, Wisc., Brown ran the fifth fastest 800m race in Auburn history, crossing in 1:46.76 for eighth place and a new personal best. His time was the fastest by an Auburn half-miler since 2005 and the second-best finish ever at NCAAs in the 800m in school history.

The Auburn men finished tied for 18th in the team standings with 15 points, good for the Tigers' third Top 20 finish in the last four NCAA Outdoor Championships.

Senior heptathlete Natosha Jordan concluded Day 1 with 3313 points, good for 15th place. Jordan posted solid performance all day, running a 14.16 in the 100m hurdles, followed by a 1.69m/5-5.25 clearance in the high jump. After a toss of 11.38m/37-4 in the shot put, Jordan wrapped up the fourth and final event of the day with a 25.27 in the 200m dash.

Saturday's fourth and final day will feature Jordan concluding the heptathlon and Joyce Kimeli in the 3000m Steeplechase and 5000m. Jordan's day will start at 11 a.m. PT with the long jump, followed by the javelin throw (12:15 p.m.) and concludes with the 800m (4:43 p.m.). Kimeli will toe the line in the Steeplechase at 3:24 p.m. and with 90 minutes to recover, will race in the 5000m at 4:55 p.m.
