AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn outside hitter Val Green has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team for volleyball, the College Sports Information Directors of America announced Friday.
The team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
Green, a senior from Oxford, Ohio, has been a three-time selection to the SEC Academic Honor Roll and is majoring in physics.
On the court, Green has played in 29 career matches. She averages 2.14 kills per set and has totaled 173 total kills over her career. Offensively, she has also added four assists, one service ace and has totaled 33.0 points over her three seasons at Auburn. Green has recorded 58 carer digs and has totaled 19.0 blocks.
Academic All-District selections will advance to the national ballot for the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team, which will be announced in early July.
Green is the eighth Auburn volleyball player to earn a CoSIDA Academic All-District selection and the first since Stephanie Campbell in 2015.
