AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn women's tennis will add an All-American to its roster for 2021-22 as Ariana Arseneault has signed with the Tigers, head coach Caroline Lilley announced Thursday.

Arseneault, who played her freshman season at Georgia, earned All-America honors as one of the nation's top-ranked doubles players, ranking as high as No. 3 during the 2021 season.

"We are thrilled to welcome Ariana to the Auburn Family," Lilley said. "In the recruiting process we set a precedent on character, a shared value system that fits our culture. Ariana brings a wealth of international experience coupled with an intrinsic desire to improve. We are fortunate to be a part of her collegiate journey, and we cannot wait to have her on campus with us!"

Arseneault was part of one of the nation's top doubles teams her freshman season at Georgia, finishing the season ranked No. 4 in the final ITA rankings. She posted 15 doubles wins as a freshman, including 11 in dual matches, and picked up six wins in singles. She and partner Katarina Jokic earned a 5-8 seed in the NCAA Doubles Championship and went 5-0 in the regular season against top-25 opponents, including a win over the nation's top-ranked doubles team at the SEC Tournament.

"I am super excited to be continuing my college education at Auburn while playing tennis for the Tigers," Arseneault said. "After speaking with Coach Caroline and Coach Raquel (Atawo) through the recruiting process, it really felt like the perfect fit. Their goals for the team, as well as the individual goals of the players, aligned with mine, and I could not be more excited!"

A native of Richmond Hill, Ontario, Arseneault has earned WTA rankings as high as 651 in singles and 563 in doubles. She had a standout junior career in Canada, including multiple wins over world ranked players.

Arseneault will join a team that returns seven letter-winners from the 2020-21 squad that went 14-9 overall, 7-6 in SEC play, and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
