AUBURN, Ala. – Rising juniors Aria Brusch and Cassie Stevens of the Auburn gymnastics team were named to the 2021 CoSIDA Academic All-District At-Large Team, the organization announced Friday.
The national recognition is the first for the pair.
Brusch holds a 4.00 in psychology and has been a consistent competitor on bars and floor for the Tigers. She is a two-time academic honoree through the Southeastern Conference, recently being named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll.
Stevens is coming off an All-SEC season, securing the conference honor on beam. The consistent all-arounder owns a 4.00 in Information Systems Management and is a multiple academic honoree through the SEC.
Selection to the all-district team moves the duo to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot. Voting will start in the coming weeks and All-America honorees will be announced in early August.
