He was exposed to wheelchair basketball by his Uncle Jim in Chicago. Robb Taylor started as a manager, a statistician and then got into coaching. For the last five years, he has served as Auburn's first coach of its Wheelchair Basketball Team. Taylor's work at his alma mater, Illinois, then at Missouri has led to his work with the U.S. Paralympic team. He has been a part of two Olympic gold medal teams, with the U.S. women and now the men. Those gold medals are on his back.
Taylor will head to Tokyo later this month for the Paralympic Games where the U.S. men are the defending gold medal winners.
Auburn head coach and U.S. assistant coach Robb Taylor is featured in this Talking Tigers Podcast, presented by Wickles Pickles.
