AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn soccer kicks off the 2021 preseason schedule with an exhibition contest against Memphis Tuesday at 6 p.m. CT at the Auburn Soccer Complex. The game will consist of three 30-minute periods.
The contest marks the second time the two teams have squared off, with the first contest resulting in a 3-0 Auburn win on Sept. 5, 2014, in Oxford, Mississippi.
Auburn's 2021 roster consists of 31 players, including seven seniors and graduate players, three juniors, 12 sophomores and nine freshmen. The Tigers ended the 2020-21 season with five straight wins and return 24 of 27 goals, 28 of 30 assists, and 76 of 84 points from last year's team.
Following Tuesday's match, the Tigers will close out the preseason slate with an exhibition at Mercer Saturday at 5 p.m. at Betts Stadium.
The Tigers begin the regular season with a matchup at Samford Thursday, Aug. 19 at 7 p.m. The team will take on No. 15 BYU in its home opener Saturday, Aug. 21 at 6:30 p.m. Admission to all contests at the Auburn soccer complex is free.
