AUBURN, Ala. – The 121st U.S. Women's Amateur tees off Monday from West Chester Country Club in Rye, New York, and for the second year in a row, Auburn women's golf will be represented by Mychael O'Berry, Megan Schofill and Kaleigh Telfer.
The trio all made match play at last year's U.S. Women's Am where Telfer advanced all the way to the quarterfinals, earning an exemption to play in this year's event. O'Berry and Schofill earned their spots earlier in the summer at qualifier tournaments.
Schofill, coming off a semifinal appearance at the North & South Women's Amateur in July, has the highest World Amateur Golf Ranking among the three at No. 41. The Auburn junior has advanced to the Round of 16 in each of the last two U.S. Women's Amateurs.
This year's tournament begins Monday with the first of two rounds of stroke play. The field of 156 will then be cut to 64 with match play the rest of the week to determine a winner.
The entirety of match play will be shown live each day from 1-4 p.m. CT, beginning with Wednesday's coverage of the Round of 64 on Golf Channel. The next two days will be streamed on Peacock, and then the semifinal and final matches, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, will be back on Golf Channel. Live scoring will be available on USGA.org.
