AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn head coach Nick Clinard and the men's golf program have announced their tournament schedule for the upcoming 2021-22 campaign.
"We are excited about our 2021-22 tournament schedule as we have the opportunity to travel to some great places and compete at outstanding venues," Clinard said. "The golf courses are fantastic as are the tournament fields throughout the season. It will be an excellent test for our young team, and they will be ready for the challenge."
The Tigers are scheduled to play in 10 tournaments during the regular season, spanning from coast to coast.
The fall slate, which consists of four events, begins Sept. 10-12 in Scottsdale, Ariz. for the Maui Jim Intercollegiate at Mirabel CC.
Auburn then treks to Dublin, Ohio for the Nicklaus Cup, Oct. 4-5 at Muirfield Village where the men's and women's teams will pair up and compete in a round robin format against Arizona State, Florida State and Ohio State.
From Oct. 4-5, the Tigers take aim at the Southeastern Conference Match Play Championship at a familiar venue at the Shoal Creek GC in Shoal Creek, Ala.
Auburn puts a bow on the fall portion of the schedule at the annual Tavistock Collegiate Invitational, Oct. 17-19, at Isleworth CC in Windermere, Fla.
The Tigers tee off the spring slate a pair of tropical destinations, beginning with the Amer Ari Invitational, Feb. 3-5, at Hapuna GC in Waikoloa, Hawai'i.
Auburn then heads to New Providence, Bahamas when it hosts the Albany Collegiate Invitational at Albany GC, Feb. 14-16.
After a short hiatus, the Tigers resume play when they host the annual Tiger Invitational, Match 6-8, at Grand National in Opelika, Ala.
The following week, Auburn heads to Myrtle Beach, S.C. for the General Hackler Championship, March 13-14, at The Dunes GC.
Two weeks later, the Tigers return to The Palmetto State for the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate at Bulls Bay GC in Awendaw, S.C., March 27-29.
Auburn wraps up regular season play in West Point, Miss. for the Mossy Oak Collegiate, April 11-12, at Mossy Oak GC.
The postseason begins April 19-24 with the SEC Championship at Seaside GC in St. Simons, Island, Ga. The Tigers then learn their fate for the NCAA Regionals, May 16-18, at a site to be determined. The NCAA Championship is set to take place at Grayhawk GC in Scottsdale, Ariz., May 27-June 1.
