AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn senior kicker Anders Carlson has been named to the Associated Press preseason All-America team.
Carlson, a semifinalist last season for the Lou Groza Award, is a second-team AP preseason honoree, with LSU's Cade York receiving first-team recognition. Carlson and York will compete in Baton Rouge Oct. 2 when Auburn visits LSU.
Carlson was a second-team All-American in 2020, connecting on 20 of 22 field goals and 24 of 25 PAT last season. He has scored 275 career points, fourth in Auburn history.
Auburn's placekicker for the past three seasons, Carlson graduated in December with a 3.92 GPA in professional flight management and is currently pursuing an MBA at Auburn.
