The Auburn men's tennis team begins its fall campaign Friday through Sunday hosting Clemson, Miami and Vanderbilt in the Auburn Fall Invitational at the Yarbrough Tennis Center.

Friday, Clemson will face Miami at 10 a.m. and Auburn will take on Vanderbilt at 2 p.m. On Saturday, Clemson will play Vanderbilt at 10 a.m. and Auburn will face Miami at 2 p.m. On Sunday, Miami and Vanderbilt will begin at 9 a.m. and Auburn will square off against Clemson no earlier than noon.

"During the fall, it's really about individual competition," Auburn head coach Bobby Reynolds said. "It'll be kind of formatted like a dual match because we play all the doubles at one time, after completion will send all singles out and play, but there will be a little bit nuance to it.

"When we play against Vanderbilt they have eight players so we'll play eight guys against Vanderbilt, but then because Clemson has 10 guys, and we have 10, our guys will be playing some Clemson guys during our match time. It won't be strictly Auburn versus Vanderbilt or Auburn versus Miami, but it'll give it the dual match feeling because across all the courts you will have eight or 10 Auburn players playing against eight or 10 of our opponents. The excitement and mentality that you have at dual matches, you'll have that this weekend."

"There's a lot of excitement around our program and where we're going heading into the spring. I'm excited for two reasons. Obviously, first is to be able to see the guys compete again -- it's been a little bit of a break since last spring and the NCAAs. We're also excited to host three other teams coming to Auburn and being able to play home.

"We look forward to having our fans come out and support the guys from last year but then also take a look at our additions this year. We appreciate all the support of everybody that comes out."

Weather permitting, all matches will be played outdoors; if the matches move indoors, start times may be delayed. The first 25 fans at each Auburn match will receive special Auburn Tennis giveaways.

All Auburn home tennis action is at the Yarbrough Tennis Center (1717 Richland Road, Auburn). Fans are welcome to attend all matches; fans may want to bring lawn chairs or blankets for outdoor seating. If matches are played indoors, face coverings will be required for admittance.
