AUBURN, Ala. – Sophomore midfielder Anna Haddock and fifth year defender Alyssa Malonson have been honored by Top Drawer Soccer Tuesday. Haddock was named to the Team of the Week and Malonson was recognized as an honorable mention honoree.

It marks the third time Haddock has been recognized by Top Drawer Soccer this season and is the first recognition for Malonson. Haddock was also named the SEC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season Monday.

"Both Anna and Alyssa had key performances in our win against Georgia," head coach Karen Hoppa said. "Anna was dominant in the midfield and scored two great goals, including the game winner. Alyssa has a tremendous game defensively, especially considering she played 81 minutes at center back and was instrumental in shutting out one of the top scoring teams in the country."

Haddock continued her fast start to the season by turning in her second brace of the year in the Tigers' 3-0 win in the SEC opener against Georgia. The goals were her sixth and seventh of the season.

The Bowling Green, Kentucky, native got the scoring started by finding the back of the net less than 10 minutes into the contest, ultimately proving to be her fourth game-winning goal of the season. After lightning delayed the start of the second half, she came out less than five minutes into the restart and doubled the Tigers' lead.

Haddock has registered a point in seven of eight games this season. Her seven goals through eight contests are the most by an Auburn player since Tammy Waine scored 12 goals in the span in 2000. She is tied for third in the league in points (17) and tied for fourth in goals.

Malonson played a vital role on the defensive side of the ball as Auburn snapped Georgia's six-game winning streak and handed the Bulldogs their first shutout loss of the season.

After starting the game at left back, the veteran defender had to slide over to center back nine minutes into the contest due to injury and helped lead Auburn's stifling defense. Malonson played all 90 minutes as the Tigers held the Bulldogs, who led the country in shots per game and ranked second in goals, to their lowest shot total of the season and off the scoreboard for the first time.

Haddock, Malonson and the rest of the No. 11 Tigers (7-1-0, 1-0-0 SEC) continue league play with a trip to No. 17 Tennessee (7-1-0, 0-1-0 SEC) Thursday at 6 p.m. CT.
