No. 11 Auburn hosts division foe Texas A&M

AUBURN, Ala. – No. 11 Auburn (7-2-0, 1-1-0 SEC) returns to the Plains to take on Texas A&M (5-4-1, 1-1-0 SEC) Sunday at 2 p.m. CT.
 
The game will be available for streaming on SEC Network+ and will also be broadcast on WEGL 91.1.
 
Admission to all Auburn soccer home contests is free.
 STARTING XI 
Auburn is coming off a hard-fought, double-overtime loss at No. 17 Tennessee.
 
The Tigers went on a program-record 11-game winning streak from the end of last spring to the start of this season and are 13-3-1 in 17 games since the start of last spring.
 
The team is outscoring opponents 23-8 this season and 39-11 in the last 17 games.
 
Auburn has allowed multiple goals on just two occasions in the last 17 contests and is turning in a 0.63 goals against average during the span.
 
On the offensive side, the team has scored multiple goals in 10 of the last 12 games.
 
The Tigers have had a player score multiple goals in a game seven times this season,
including a pair of braces from Anna Haddock and a hat trick from Carly Thatcher.
 
The seven multi-goal performances this season are the most since 2000 (eight).
 
Haddock ranks top five in the SEC and top 20 in the NCAA in goals (seven) and points (17).
 
Her seven goals came in the first eight games of the season, marking the most by an Auburn player since Tammy Waine scored 12 goals in the span to start the 2000 season.
 
Redshirt sophomore forward Marissa Arias leads the team with nine points on four goals and an assist in the last four contests.
 
Auburn checked in at No. 11 in this week's coaches' poll, marking the fifth straight week the team has appeared in the top 15.
 
Five of Auburn's first six SEC contests and seven of 10 total conference games are against teams either ranked or receiving votes.
 
Auburn is 2-2-0 against Texas A&M in games played at the Auburn Soccer Complex.
 PLAYER TO WATCH: MARISSA ARIAS
Arias ranks second on the team in goals (four) and points (10) and has added a pair of assists through nine games.
 
Starting with a brace and an assist against Alabama A&M, all four of her goals and nine of her 10 points this season have come in the last four contests.
 SCOUTING TEXAS A&M 
Texas A&M enters Sunday's contest with a 5-4-1 overall record and 1-1-0 mark in SEC play.
 
All four of Texas A&M's losses have come by one goal against top-15 teams.
 
Freshman forward Maile Hayes leads the Aggies in scoring with 12 points on five goals and two assists.
 
Four goalkeepers have spent time in net with junior Kenna Caldwell leading the way having started nine of 10 games and turning in a 0.91 goals against average.
