AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn men's track and field alum, Jack Rogers, was named a recipient of the NCAA's annual Postgraduate Scholarship, funding the advancement of his education in the field of data science and analytics.
"This scholarship will allow me to dive even deeper into the field that I am passionate about," Rogers said, "learning how to leverage technology to make an impact both locally and globally. I am very thankful to have this opportunity to grow in an environment with other ambitious and goal-driven people."
Rogers will receive a $10,000 scholarship, which is awarded to student-athletes who excel academically and athletically and who are at least in their final year of intercollegiate athletics competition.
"Jack exemplifies what it means to be a student-athlete here at Auburn," said Tigers track and field head coach Ralph Spry. "He is someone who consistently put in the time and effort that it takes to succeed, both on the track and in the classroom. There is no doubt in my mind that he will use this scholarship to make a positive impact wherever he goes."
While on the track and field team, Rogers was a four-year letterwinner, competing three times at both SEC Indoors and SEC Outdoors. The Auburn native was also a recurring member of the SEC's Academic Honor Roll.
Rogers capped his career at Auburn, graduating in the spring of 2021 with a 4.0 GPA, earning his undergraduate degree in business analytics.
Currently working as a full-time analyst, Rogers plans to use his scholarship and apply for a master's program in the coming months.
