AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn continues to add depth on the mound as the next member of its 2021 signing class is right-handed pitcher John Armstrong.

Armstrong is a native of Marietta, Georgia, and is a product of Harrison High School and the 643 DP Cougars. Armstrong is rated by Perfect Game among the top right-handed pitchers in Georgia.

"I love the coaches at Auburn. I have a good connection with them," Armstrong said. "They want to get to know you on a personal level, which is awesome. They also look into developing us not only as a player, but also as a person, and that stood out to me a lot.

"It was cool to imagine myself being an Auburn Tiger, but it's even better knowing I'm going to be one now," Armstrong added. "I can't wait to be there with my new teammates and work hard for a national championship."
