Qualifying play continued Friday in the ITA Southern Regionals at Auburn.
In Friday's singles action, Auburn's Jackson Ross won his morning match against Joao Graca of LSU by a score of 6-4, 1-6, 6-3. Ross' afternoon match was another three-set affair, with Tulane's Finn Kuenkler coming out the winner by scores of 6-7 (5), 7-6 (1), 6-2.
Saturday begins main draw play and five Tigers will make their tournament debuts. At 9 a.m., Finn Murgett will take on top-seeded Finn Reynolds of Ole Miss, and Raul Dobai will face Sebastian Collard of South Alabama. At 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan Galka goes up against Florian Broska of Mississippi State, Tad Maclean squares off against Lukas Englehardt of Ole Miss and No. 2-seed Tyler Stice plays Filip Planinsek of Alabama.
Main draw doubles action gets underway Saturday as well. Play continues through Tuesday's event finals. All matches are at the Yarbrough Tennis Center and admission is free.
