WINDERMERE, Fla. –  Following an incredible second-round performance at the Isleworth Collegiate, the Auburn men's golf team now finds itself tied for first place in the team standings at the close of Monday's action.

"I'm really proud of the team as we played very well, overall, today," said Tigers head coach Nick Clinard. "We had it rolling for a while and are looking forward to another opportunity tomorrow. This team is young but full of confidence, and is so much fun to coach."

The Tigers shot seven-under on the day, bringing their total through 36 holes to 569 (-7).

Thriving in his hometown, freshman and Orlando, Florida native Brendan Valdes carded a three-under-par (69), matching sophomore J.M. Butler for Auburn's best score on the day.

Butler is the Tigers' top performer through two rounds of play as he is five-below-par (139) and tied for third place, individually. He also ranks amongst tournament leaders in par-five scoring, shooting five-under and averaging 4.38 strokes per par-five hole.

Tied with Valdes, junior Austin Coggin sits just outside the individual top-10 standings after another clutch performance, shooting one-under (71) and knocking down five more birdies to bring his tournament total to 10.

Junior Alex Vogelsong and sophomore Carson Bacha both sit inside the top-30 after Monday's outing. Vogelsong shot even (72) and is tied for 23rd place while Bacha shot two-over (74) and is tied for 28th place.
