AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn completed its two-game fall exhibition schedule with an 11-7 win in 12 innings against Clemson Saturday afternoon at Plainsman Park.
Auburn scored in seven straight innings from the second through the eighth and never trailed in the contest.
"These last two weeks have been good, playing against outside competition," head coach Butch Thompson said. "We got a ton of guys in the ballgame, and both teams will take something from it. We were just competitive today with Clemson. I like how many guys we can run into a ballgame."
Twelve pitchers took the mound for the Tigers and racked up 15 strikeouts while holding Clemson scoreless in nine of 12 innings.
Twenty-one players got a plate appearance in the game, and the team totaled 17 hits from 13 different players, including home runs from Bryson Ware and Copper Self.
