With it being National Tight Ends Day on Sunday, it was only fitting that former Auburn tight end C.J. Uzomah scored not one but two touchdowns to lead the Cincinnati Bengals to victory. That and more in this week's Auburn in the NFL rundown.

BEST OF WEEK 7

Derrick Brown, DT, Carolina Panthers
It was a career day for Brown against the New York Giants on Sunday as he set a new career high with six tackles, including two tackles for loss, and added another sack. It was his second sack of the season, matching his sack total from his rookie season last year. The former top 10 draft pick finished the game with a PFF score of 69.2, fifth highest on the Panthers. He now has 19 tackles, four tackles for loss and two sacks through seven games.

Jamel Dean, CB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Dean and the Tampa Bay defense welcomed rookie Justin Fields to the NFL with a dominating 38-3 performance to improve to 6-1 on the season. The Buccaneers' cornerbacks allowed just 10 catches on 14 targets for 82 yards and three first downs. Dean, who had an interception in each of the last two games, finished with seven tackles and one tackle for loss before leaving the game late with a shoulder injury.

Darius Slayton, WR, New York Giants
After missing nearly a month with a nagging hamstring injury, Slayton returned with a bang in Sunday's 25-3 win over the Carolina Panthers. The third-year wide receiver hauled in a season-high five receptions for 63 yards, averaging 12.6 yards per catch. He recorded a PFF rating of 84.8, the highest on the team and fourth highest among NFL receivers for the week. In four games this season, Slayton has 12 catches for 190 yards.

C.J. Uzomah, TE, Cincinnati Bengals
Uzomah showed out on National Tight Ends Day. For the second time in four games, the Auburn product reached the end zone twice in Sunday's 41-17 win over the Baltimore Ravens. The first touchdown came late in the first half when he burned former Alabama cornerback Marlon Humphrey on a career-long 55-yard reception to put the Bengals up 10-3. Then early in the third quarter, he caught a 32-yard touchdown to give Cincinnait the lead for good. Uzomah finished with 91 yards on three catches and earned a PFF rating of 78.4. Through the first seven games, he already has a career-best five TDs.
