Two Tigers set for Roberta Alison Classic

AUBURN, Ala. – Two student-athletes from the Auburn women's tennis team will compete this weekend in Tuscaloosa at the Roberta Alison Fall Classic, hosted by Alabama.
 
Senior Madeline Meredith and sophomore Anastasia Astakhova will compete in the two-day event at the Alabama Tennis Stadium Friday and Saturday.
 
Meredith will play in the Stefanie Leung singles draw and will face Emily Meyer of Memphis in the first round. Astakhova is set to compete in the Alice Tunaru draw and take on Ariel Johnson of Wisconsin in her first-round match.
 
The two will also compete as a team in doubles, taking on Clark and Som of Virginia Tech in the first round of their draw.
 
A total of 66 singles players and 33 doubles teams from 15 schools are set to compete in the event. Results will be available on RollTide.com as matches conclude throughout each day.
