DUBLIN, Ohio – The Auburn men's and women's golf teams joined forces Monday at the Barbara Nicklaus Cup, playing in mixed matches against Florida State and Arizona State. The Tigers collected a total of 3.5 points on the first day.
Austin Coggin and Mychael O'Berry picked up the lone point in the first match against Florida State with a 2-UP victory in their mixed foursome. The other point came from Ryan Eshleman and Anna Foster who secured a 6&5 win with a dominant performance to lead off the afternoon match against Arizona State.
Auburn also finished tied in three matches with the Sun Devils, one mixed foursome (C.J. Easley/Kaleigh Telfer) and two singles (Megan Schofill and Ryan Vogelsong), with each earning half a point toward the total score.
The Tigers will wrap up the tournament Tuesday with a third match against Ohio State. The first foursome will tee off at 7 a.m. CT. Live scoring can be found on Golfstat.com.
