AUBURN, Ala. – Another piece to Auburn softball's 2022 nonconference schedule is complete as ESPN Events released the matchups for the 2022 St. Pete Clearwater Elite Invitational Presented by Wilson on Thursday.
The event returns to the Eddie C. Moore Complex in Clearwater, Fla., for its third year. All 40 softball games scheduled for the tournament will be available across ESPN platforms, including 20 televised matchups. All matchups are available via the ESPN App on smartphones, tablets, connected streaming devices or espn.com/watch. Fans can subscribe to ESPN+ at ESPN.com, ESPNPlus.com and on the ESPN App.
Competing for the first time at the event, Auburn opens its schedule against Texas Tech at 11:30 a.m. CT on Thursday, Feb. 17. The contest will be televised on the SEC Network. The Tigers return to the diamond on Friday, Feb. 18 for doubleheader action. Auburn faces Wisconsin at 10:30 a.m. CT on ESPN+ before a showdown on the Longhorn Network with Texas at 3 p.m. CT.
Testing its young squad early, Auburn takes on 2019 Women's College World Series Champion UCLA on Saturday, Feb. 19. First pitch against the Bruins is set for 9 a.m. CT on ESPNU. The Tigers closed the tournament on Sunday, Feb. 20 against USF. First pitch on ESPN+ is set for 11 a.m. CT.
