His career began as an athletic trainer. Jim Lovell spent the 2021 Major League Baseball season as the Director of Travel for the Atlanta Braves…the World Champion Atlanta Braves.
Lovell has two degrees from Auburn. In the late 80s, he worked with Hub Waldrop and the Auburn University Football Team. From Auburn, Lovell was an athletic trainer in the Braves organization and eventually with the big league club. When the job opened, he moved in just prior to spring training as Director of Travel.
