Roger McCreary - AP first team All-American

AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn senior defensive back Roger McCreary has been named to the AP All-America first team, the Associated Press announced Monday.

A consensus All-American, McCreary has previously earned All-America honors from The Athletic, ESPN and the Senior Bowl for the 2021 season, in addition to being a first-team All-SEC honoree.

The senior from Mobile, Alabama, leads the SEC and ranks No. 8 nationally with 1.3 passes defended per game. The Bednarik Award semifinalist has made two interceptions and broken up 14 passes in 2021.

McCreary ranks second in program history with 38 career passes broken up. His 14 PBUs this season are tied for second in Auburn single-season history, one behind Chris Davis in 2013.
