AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn equestrian team earned the top seed for the 2021 National Collegiate Equestrian Association National Championship, the NCEA Selection Committee announced Tuesday.

The nation's top eight teams will vie for the NCEA National Championship, April 15-17, at the Extraco Events Center in Waco, Texas.

Auburn's quest for its third-straight national title starts Wednesday, April 15, as the Tigers face No. 8 Baylor. Fellow Southeastern Conference opponents Georgia and Texas A&M are seeded No. 3 and No. 5, respectively.

Since the first NCEA Team National Championship in 2002, Auburn and Georgia have won the most titles with six each. South Carolina and Texas A&M have three apiece. The 2020 NCEA Championship was not held because of COVID-19 and a regular season national champion was not named.
