AUBURN, Ala. – Megan Falcon, who spent the last two seasons on the coaching staff at Kansas, has been named associate head coach for women's tennis at Auburn, head coach Caroline Lilley announced Monday.
Falcon was associate head coach for the Jayhawks from 2019-21, which followed a three-year stint as assistant coach at Wisconsin. As a student-athlete at LSU, she was one of their most decorated players in program history as a three-time All-American, NCAA singles semifinalist and 2007 SEC Player of the Year.
"To work alongside someone I not only respect as a coach but also admire as a person is incredibly humbling," Lilley said. "Megan's ability to develop players is rooted in her commitment to cultivating meaningful relationships. Her experiences, both as a player and as a coach, speak volumes to her character and relatability. There is no one else in the country I would rather have investing in our young women. She is world-class in all she does."
In her two years at Kansas, Falcon saw the team post a 7-4 record during the pandemic-shortened 2020 season, peaking at No. 19 in the nation. She also mentored three nationally ranked singles players and three ranked doubles teams while with the Jayhawks.

"She and I believe deeply in the value of collegiate athletics in the lives of young women and share a common vision for the future of Auburn women's tennis. At Wisconsin, Falcon helped lead the Badgers to a runner-up finish in the Big Ten in 2019 - the team's highest finish since 2002 - and their first NCAA Tournament berth since 2005. She helped engineer a 14-win improvement from her first season to her third with Wisconsin and saw Sara Castellano named to the All-Big Ten first team in 2019.
She was an assistant coach at Gonzaga during the 2015-16 season, where the Bulldogs set a program record with 16 wins and finished second in the West Coast Conference, the highest finish in program history.
Falcon began her coaching career as the Director of Junior Tennis at Bocage Racquet Club in Baton Rouge, La.
A native of Alameda, Calif., Falcon finished her collegiate career as one of the top players in LSU women's tennis history. In her LSU career, Falcon reached No. 1 in the nation in singles and the No. 10 ranking in doubles. The 2007 SEC Player of the Year and three-time All-SEC First Team selection, Falcon was voted one of the 30 greatest LSU Tiger student-athletes of the decade after participating in the 2007 Pan American Games and being named finalist for the 2007 Honda National Player of the Year Award.
Falcon also spent two seasons on the professional circuit, attaining a WTA Ranking of 331 in singles and 413 in doubles. An ITA Scholar-Athlete, Falcon graduated with a degree in history and international studies from LSU in 2009.
