AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn soccer completes its exhibition schedule at Mercer Saturday. Kickoff at Betts Stadium is scheduled for 5 p.m. CT.
The Tigers opened the exhibition slate against Memphis Tuesday and ultimately dropped a 2-0 decision to the visiting Tigers after allowing a pair of goals in the final five minutes. Twenty-four players saw action in the contest, including eight who stepped onto the field for the first time in an Auburn uniform.
Auburn is 6-0-0 all-time against Mercer and has outscored the Bears 19-3 in the previous meetings. Saturday's contest marks the first time the two teams have played since an exhibition in 2019 and is just the second time the teams have squared off since 2000.
The Tigers officially open the 2021 season Thursday at Samford. Kickoff in Birmingham is set for 7 p.m. CT, and the game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
