We kick off our re-introduction of newcomers with the addition of freshman goalkeeper Katie Carrino.

Q: Who or what inspired you to play soccer?
A: Like most kids, my parents signed me up to play soccer at a young age. My dad was my coach when I was little, and ever since then he has been my biggest supporter and inspires me to play.
Q: What is your favorite soccer memory growing up?
A: My favorite soccer memory growing up is either winning the 2017 Maryland State Cup and making it to the Region I finals or winning Maryland State Cup this past year.
Q: What is your biggest accomplishment on or off the field?
A: My biggest accomplishment by far is committing to Auburn. I come from a club where no one has ever committed to play college soccer at this level, and I am so proud to be the first to do so.
Q: Do you have any pre-match superstitions?
A: Before every game I listen to "The Motto" by Drake with only my right AirPod in because my best friend always had the left AirPod in.
Q: What were your biggest factors in choosing Auburn?
A: I chose Auburn because it is a great fit academically and the soccer program and staff are unmatched.
Q: What are you most excited about for the upcoming season?
A: I am most excited about playing with such an amazing group of girls that I know are going to push me to be the best player I can be.
Q: If you could eat one meal for the rest of your life what would it be?
A: If I could eat one meal for the rest of my life it would be blue crabs.
Q: If you could have any superpower what would it be and why?
A: If I could have any superpower I would want to be able to teleport because I would be able to travel anywhere without having to drive or fly.
Q: What is your favorite movie or TV show?
A: My favorite movie is Talladega Nights.
Q: What major do you plan to pursue and what led you to choosing that subject?
A: I want to major in kinesiology because I hope to become a chiropractor in the future.
Q: What are your biggest goals during your time at Auburn?
A: My biggest goals during my time at Auburn are to become the best player I can be and to get a great education while doing so.
Q: What do you hope to do when your playing days are over?
A: I hope to go to school to become a chiropractor when my playing days are over.
