AUBURN, Ala. – Home to a football game day experience that consistently ranks among the nation's best, Auburn Athletics announces information designed to help fans maximize their campus visits.

After the challenges of 2020, excitement for the 2021 season continues to build in advance of Auburn's season opener Saturday vs. Akron at 6 p.m. CT, the first of seven games at Jordan-Hare Stadium this fall.

"With unparalleled traditions and unrivaled passion, Auburn fans contribute mightily to making Saturdays on the Plains the envy of college football," Director of Athletics Allen Greene said.  "Members of Auburn Athletics and all of the entities that contribute to football weekends are excited to welcome back our fans to Jordan-Hare Stadium and the best game day experience in the country."

Auburn remains focused on providing a safe and healthy game day environment for all attendees. This communication outlines information regarding traditions, parking, tailgating, ticketing and opportunities for fans to elevate their experiences.

"We appreciate the patience and understanding of Auburn fans throughout the pandemic," Greene said. "We invite Auburn fans and our out-of-town guests to safely enjoy being outdoors as we gather on seven Saturdays this season."

PARKING AND TAILGATING

  • Download the Waze app for the most up-to-date directions and game day road closures.
  • Premium tailgate experiences are available through Tailgate Guys. Click here for more information, and to purchase a single game or full season package.
  • During Auburn home football games, Tiger Transit runs special routes. Buses run for four hours prior to kickoff, intermittently throughout the game and for two hours post-game to return fans to their stops. Riders may face delay in arriving from and returning to all locations due to pre- and post-game traffic. During the 2021 season, face coverings are required for all Tiger Transit riders.
  • Tiger Transit utilizes Doublemap/Transfer technology to enable fans to view buses in motion and the routes in real-time via the internet and smartphone. Click here to download the app for Apple phones or click here for Android device. Masks are required on all Tiger Transit buses.
  • Please be aware of the following ongoing construction projects in Auburn.
    • Wire Rd. and Cox Rd.
    • N. College St. and US 280  
    • Farmville Road between N. Donahue and N. College St. 
    • Opelika Rd. between N. Dean and East University Dr. 

ARRIVAL AND GATE ENTRY

  • Fans are encouraged to arrive early to avoid delays. Gates and all stadium services open two hours prior to kick-off. Pre-game begins 20 minutes prior to kick-off.
  • Walkthrough Metal Detectors will be in operation for the 2021 season.   
  • New walkthrough metal detector units will be placed at gates 1 and 12 that do not require individuals to empty their pockets to expedite stadium entry. These gates will be express lines for individuals without bags. Individuals with bags will need to proceed to the next closest gate. 
  • Jordan-Hare Stadium has a clear bag policy.  
  • Fans are allowed to bring in an empty water bottle or cup for use at the complimentary water refill stations, as well as one clear, factory-sealed bottled water. For your convenience, complimentary water refill stations are available throughout Jordan-Hare Stadium.
  • The following items are prohibited from being brought into the stadium: artificial noise makers, cameras with lenses over four inches, non-clear bags, outside food and drink, pets, stadium seats with arms, umbrellas, video cameras, and weapons (including pocket knives).

DIGITAL TICKETING

  • Auburn Athletics will continue to provide digital tickets for the 2021 Football season. Digital tickets help to increase convenience, flexibility and safety for fans on game days. Click here for more information on digital tickets. 
  • Fans will use digital tickets for season/single game tickets and transfers. Digital tickets will be scanned off your mobile device for entry. 
  • Fans are highly encouraged to download their digital tickets prior to arriving at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Downloading tickets at the gate may require additional time due to possible limited connectivity on game days.
  • New pedestal ticket scanners will be located at Gates 1-4 on the east side, as well as Gates 12 and 13 on the west side, and also in the Neville Suite Lobby. Fans will place their cell phones under the scanner for contactless entry. 

FACE COVERINGS

  • Per current Auburn University policy, face coverings (over the nose and mouth) are required inside all Auburn University buildings.
  • Face coverings should be worn in Tiger Transit buses, elevators, the press box, and all indoor premium spaces for anyone age two or older (while not actively eating or drinking).  Face shields do not meet the medical standard for a face covering.      
  • Face coverings do not have to be worn in open-air athletics venues, but the CDC does recommend mask wearing in large gatherings.  

CONCESSIONS, MERCHANDISE & CHAIRBACKS

  • All transactions for concessions, merchandise and chairback locations at Jordan-Hare Stadium will be contactless and cashless (credit cards only).
  • Concessions will continue to offer a $2 bottle of 20 oz. water as well as a wide range of food and beverage options.
  • Skip the lines at the concessions stands and in Jordan-Hare Stadium and order for pickup at the stand nearest you. To order, using your smartphone, select "CONCESSIONS" from the sidebar menu on the Auburn Athletics Official app. The dedicated pick-up window for Mobile Express orders will be available at concessions stands located behind sections 3, 28, 58, and 106.
  • The home opener against Akron has been designated as a wear white game.  Purchase officially licensed Auburn gear at AU Team Shop.
  • New in 2021 - enjoy the convenience of renting your single game chairbacks online before your arrival at Jordan-Hare Stadium this fall. 
  • Commemorative game programs will be available for purchase inside and around Jordan-Hare Stadium for $5 cash.
  • Fans may listen to the Auburn Sports Network broadcast inside the stadium with no delay with the purchase of a live sports radio device on the concourse for $25. Existing devices may also be reprogrammed for $10.     

AUBURN TRADITIONS

  • To begin the 2021 season, the Tiger Walk will be abbreviated and will include a widened walkthrough area for the protection of student-athletes. The team will unload on S.Donahue near the Wellness Kitchen and proceed to the Harbert Recruiting Center. The walk begins two hours before each game.  
  • Eagle Flight - The best pregame tradition in all of college football will return in 2021. Be sure to be in your seats 20 minutes prior to kickoff for the beginning of pregame festivities.
  • Auburn Marching Band – the Auburn band will perform on the field for both pre-game and halftime. To avoid clustering in the team areas, the pregame show will originate from the south end zone instead of the south center tunnel.  
  • Toomer's Corner – fans are encouraged to celebrate an Auburn victory at Toomer's Corner.  Auburn University officials are asking fans to hold off for another year on the rolling the Auburn Oaks and descendants along Samford Park.

FAN EXPERIENCE

  • Friday Football Locker Room Tours - The Auburn Family is invited to experience the pre-game locker room setup for the football team on Fridays prior to each home game from 4 to 6 p.m. Enter Jordan-Hare Stadium Gate 10. Per current Auburn University policy, face coverings are required over the nose and mouth inside all Auburn University buildings.
  • Coke Fan Fest is a free pre-game entertainment area located in front of the Nichols Center on Donahue Drive. Opening four hours prior to kickoff, the fest includes inflatable games, a live DJ and more. New in 2021 – Coke Fan Fest will feature TVs for live college football game viewing.
  • Home Plate Tailgate is located in the Plainsman Park Parking Lot. The space is free of charge and open to the public as a tailgating destination close to the action of Jordan-Hare Stadium. Home Plate Tailgate will open four hours prior to kickoff and feature TVs for live college football game viewing and tailgate games. Once in the area, fans will have access to restrooms and tents for shade. Food and beer will be available for purchase. 
  • The Tiger Tailgate Show presented by Conecuh Sausage will again originate from the east side of Jordan-Hare Stadium three hours prior to kick-off.
  • Guest Wireless Internet Service is available in the stadium and across campus using a smartphone, tablet, or laptop computer. Users may join by selecting the "AU_Guest" Wi-Fi network from their mobile device. The service is provided by Verizon Wireless. 
  • Be sure to download the official Auburn game day app. Available in the app store and Google Play, the Auburn game day app feature access to War Eagle Lights light show, free live audio, real-time social streams, interactive stadium maps, scoreboards, stats, game day programs, mobile concessions ordering and much more.
