AUBURN, Ala. – Junior forward Sydney Richards was named Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week honorable mention Tuesday.

It marks the second time Richards has been recognized by Top Drawer Soccer this season and is the sixth time in as many weeks an Auburn player has been honored by the publication.

Richards tied for the team lead with three shots and played a season-high 88 minutes in a hard-fought, double-overtime loss at Tennessee last Thursday. She hit a one-timer off a corner kick off the left post that ultimately resulted in the goal from Marissa Arias to put the Tigers up 1-0 in the second half.

Three days later, the Plano, Texas native scored a penalty kick against home-state Texas A&M, marking her third goal of the season. She put both of her shots in the contest on frame.

Richards and the No. 13 Tigers (8-2-0, 2-1-0 SEC) hit the road for the second time in SEC play with a trip to No. 17 South Carolina (8-2-0, 3-0-0 SEC) scheduled for Friday, Oct. 1 at 6 p.m. CT.
