AUBURN, Ala. – For the third time this season, Auburn freshman 6-foot-10 forward Jabari Smith was selected as SEC Freshman of the Week on Monday.

He shared the weekly honor with TyTy Washington Jr. of Kentucky. Smith led Auburn to a 2-0 week and its 13th-consecutive win with back-to-back road victories at No. 24 and archrival Alabama (W, 81-77) on Jan. 11 and Ole Miss (W, 80-71) on Jan. 15.

He averaged a team-leading 20 points and 5.0 rebounds per game against the Crimson Tide and Rebels combined. He tallied his sixth career 20-point outing with a game-and career-high 25 points on 8-14 shooting from the field including a trio of 3-pointers and career-high four blocked shots at Alabama. It marked only the 11th-ever road win in Tuscaloosa in program history.

Smith followed up that performance with 15 points at Ole Miss to extend his team-leading double-digit scoring streak to 14-straight contests. The Tigers are off to their first 5-0 SEC start since 1999 and fourth-time ever in program history. They are currently tied with Davidson, owners of the nation's longest active win streak (13).
