AUBURN, Ala. – The SEC Championships are less than a month away. The Auburn swimming and diving team will get a good barometer of where it stands Saturday when the Tigers travel to Florida for the final dual meet of the 2021-22 season.

The Florida men have won the last nine SEC titles and come in ranked No. 4 in the latest CSCAA Top 25. The Gators are ranked No. 16 in the Women's Top 25.

"It's a chance for us to measure ourselves against the University of Florida, but more importantly it's a chance to measure ourselves against ourselves and where we were last week, where we are coming up this week," Auburn head coach Ryan Wochomurka said.

"It's going be a challenging meet on both sides. I think our women have an opportunity to really challenge them at a high level. But really this weekend – being on the road two weekends in a row back-to-back is certainly challenging – but it gives us an opportunity to gauge where we are week to week as we look a month from now to the SEC championship."

Auburn's men climbed to No. 15 in the Top 25 after taking down No. 13 Alabama last week while the women stayed put at No. 19 in the country.

Saturday's meet will begin at 9 a.m. CT from the Ann Marie Rogers Swimming and Diving Pool at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center in Gainesville, Florida. Live results will be available on the MeetMobile App, and the meet will also be streamed live on ESPN

LAST TIME OUT

The Tigers are coming off a split in Tuscaloosa where the men knocked off Alabama, 152-148, and the women dropped a hard-fought meet to a top-10 Crimson Tide squad.

Some of the highlights from the men came in the two distance races as Auburn swept both the 500 and 1000 freestyle. Sophomore Michael Bonson won the 500 free while senior Aryan Makhija touched the wall first in the 1000 free. The Tigers also picked up a win in the men's 3-meter from Conner Pruitt, who was named SEC Men's Diver of the Week.

The Auburn women closed strong at Alabama, finishing 1-2-3 in the 200 IM and then beating out the Tide for first in the final event, the 400 freestyle relay.
