AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn women's golf team is headed to California, the big state for big dreams, where they will play in the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge at the Palos Verdes Golf Club (Par 71, 6017 yards) in Palos Verdes Estates.

Like the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate, the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge is considered one of the premier tournaments in college golf. The field is as strong as ever with 10 teams ranked in Golfstat's Top 25, including four teams in the top 10. It will give the Tigers a chance to see some new competition with six teams from the West Coast.

This will be Auburn's second appearance in the tournament and first since 2020 when Kaleigh Telfer won the individual title at 6-under par. Telfer, now a senior, missed tying the tournament's individual record score (-7) by one stroke.

Telfer, Mychael O'Berry and Megan Schofill all played for the Tigers in the 2020 event, and they will be joined in the lineup this week by sophomores Anna Foster and Elina Sinz. Foster finished tied for ninth overall at the Darius Rucker her last time out.

Senior Julie McCarthy also traveled with the team and will play as an individual.

All 16 teams will tee off Sunday in the first of three rounds. Auburn will start at 11 a.m. CT and will be paired with Duke, Ohio State and Vanderbilt. Live scoring can be found on Golfstat.com.
